Joby Talbot's Path of Miracles

Tuesday 07 March 2023

Auckland choir Viva Voce are preparing for a pilgrimage – of sorts.

The choir will be touring Joby Talbot's Path of Miracles around New Zealand, performing in five centres. Originally written for UK choir Tenebrae, the work is inspired by the famous Camino de Santiago pilgrimage from Roncesvalles in the Pyrenees to Spain’s Santiago de Compostela, the legendary resting place of St James.

The choir's Music Director John Rosser talks about the challenges and rewards of performing this major work.
